How your data is used
Your details are collected and used exclusively for the Work in Sweden 2026 Bengaluru event: to review your registration, confirm shortlisted candidates, and send event communication. They are accessible only to the licensed Work in Sweden team (Business Sweden, the Swedish Institute, the Embassy of Sweden in India) and Cognavi as the platform operator. You will not be added to Cognavi's wider talent pool unless you explicitly opt in.
Data controller
The Swedish Institute is the data controller for personal data collected through this registration. Cognavi processes the data on its behalf to run the event platform.
What we collect
- The details you enter when registering: name, email, mobile number, gender, LinkedIn profile, experience, domain, recent role, certifications, relocation preference, region of interest, how you heard about the event and any message.
- A CV, only if you choose to upload one.
- How you found the event (campaign tags such as utm_source) so the organisers can see which channels work.
- Your activity on this site — pages viewed, steps completed and company links opened — so the team can understand interest in each company. Before you register, this is only recorded if you accept analytics cookies.
- The outcome of the review (shortlisted or not) and the emails we send you about the event.
Who can see it
Only the licensed Work in Sweden team — named people at Business Sweden, the Swedish Institute and the Embassy of Sweden in India — and Cognavi as the platform operator. Participating companies do not get access to the platform.
Retention and your rights
Registration data is retained for 12 months after the event and then deleted, unless you have opted in to further communication.
You can view and correct your details, download a copy of your data, change your communication preferences or delete your account at any time from your account. You can also write to workinsweden@cognavi.com.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember how you arrived (campaign tags) so your registration can be attributed. Analytics and advertising measurement cookies (Google, LinkedIn, Meta) are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
